Our mission is to fight disease and save lives by making prevention and treatment easy, accessible and safe.</p><h3>Job Details</h3><p><b>Job title:</b> Immunisation Nurse<b>Contract:</b> BANK<b>Working Hours:</b> Flexible (Part‑time / Full‑time) – Monday to Friday between 07:00 am and 06:00 pm.</p><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Pension – 5% employer contribution based on qualified earnings.</li><li>VIVUP – supermarket and high street discounts & employee assistance programme.</li><li>Blue Light Card – supermarket and high street discounts.</li><li>Employee referral scheme.</li><li>28 days annual leave including bank holidays (pro‑rata).</li></ul><h3>Job Purpose</h3><p>The post holder will be responsible for undertaking clinical and administrative duties relating to immunisation, primarily delivered on site for primary and secondary children in schools and in community clinic settings.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Work collaboratively to support the team, organisation, and company stakeholders to facilitate the smooth continuity of service delivery.</li><li>Vaccinate 20 to 25 school children per hour during flu season.</li><li>Promote and support the operation of our School Aged Immunisation Service.</li><li>Support Programme Managers, Team Lead and Clinical Lead as applicable.</li><li>Attend sites across different locations as directed by line manager.</li><li>Deliver an effective, evidence‑based and competent level of care to patients.</li><li>Participate in clinical supervision and the performance and development of staff.</li><li>Ensure all clinical incidents, near misses and complaints are reported, monitored and processed in line with organisational policies and procedures.</li><li>Participate in audits, make recommendations based on findings and share outcomes with the team for learning.</li><li>Ensure record keeping is up to date and in line with company policy, procedure and guidelines.</li><li>Actively and constructively contribute to team meetings.</li><li>Undertake Gillick competency assessments and obtain verbal consent from parents and caregivers.</li><li>Undertake other duties commensurate with the level of this position.</li></ul><h3>Experience / Skills</h3><ul><li>Immunisations and proof of Hepatitis B, MMR & Varicella.</li><li>Registered Nurse, Pharmacist or Allied Healthcare professional actively registered with their governing body: NMC, GPhC, HCPC.</li><li>Nursing and/or Midwifery qualification.</li><li>Basic Life Support certification (desirable).</li><li>Evidence of signed competencies for relevant vaccinations (desirable).</li><li>Evidence of ongoing professional development.</li><li>Working within PGD frameworks.</li><li>Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule.</li><li>Understanding and implementation of informed consent principles.</li><li>Computer literate; basic knowledge of Excel.</li><li>Cold chain management, ordering and arranging transport.</li><li>Effective communication both written and verbal.</li><li>Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.</li><li>Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Assertive, team player and critical thinker.</li><li>Must be able to drive (desirable).</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunities</h3><p>European LifeCare Group is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants, regardless of race, religion, sex, origin, age, disabilities, genetic information, marital status, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law.</p></div>
