We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as an HR Consultant for Group, Retirement Solutions & Asset Management, to join our HR Business Partnering team reporting into the Head of HR.
Job Type: 6-month Fixed Term Contract
Location: This role could be based at our Midlands, Edinburgh, or London offices, with time spent working in the office and at home.
Flexible working: All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share, and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and how to balance this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

Salary and benefits: £40,000 - £45,000 plus 8% bonus (up to 16%), private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, flexible working, career breaks, income protection, 3 volunteering days, and much more.
The role:
HR plays a critical role in supporting the business in delivering the Group strategy to achieve our purpose of helping people secure a life of possibilities. The HR Consultant will play a crucial role in the HR Business Partnering team by providing high-quality, professional generalist support to the Heads of HR and HR Business Partners as they work with the business.
The HR Consultant position offers an excellent opportunity to develop in the generalist HR career path through a broad and varied role that provides access to all specialist areas across HR. The HR Consultant will work closely with HR Business Partners and Heads of HR on key deliverables supporting the People Strategy, engaging with subject matter experts across HR, including:
* Reviewing talent and succession plans across the business
* Supporting the annual performance review cycle
* Acting as the close liaison with the People Consultancy team on oversight and active management of underperformance, long-term sickness, and absences
* Supporting the design and implementation of organizational design changes
* Collating and analyzing key people metrics and producing regular reports for business areas
* Supporting project activities, including owning some workstream activities where appropriate
* Supporting early careers and development programs
What are we looking for?
* Passion to develop HR knowledge and experience – having some existing HR practice experience is beneficial but not essential
* Proactive and practical in identifying and implementing improvements in HR processes and practices
* Ability to think independently and work under self-direction
* Experience dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels
* Experience in managing and analyzing data
