Job overview

NHS England funds the Internal Medicine Strategic Network (IMSN) and the Neurosciences and Trauma Strategic Network. We are in the early stages of building a skilled, multidisciplinary team to lead transformation across specialised services. This is a formative phase that offers the opportunity to help shape how the Strategic Networks operate and deliver impact across Internal Medicine, Neurosciences, and Trauma specialties.


Main duties of the job

The Lead Educator provides strategic and operational leadership for multi-professional education across two specialised Strategic Networks: Internal Medicine and Neurosciences and Trauma. You will design, commission and evaluate education that supports current and emerging workforce needs for registered and non-registered staff, aligning programmes with national standards and service priorities.

Qualifications

* Registered nurse (RN) or registered AHP or Healthcare Scientist
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Master’s Degree in a health-related discipline (or demonstrable evidence of working at master's Level).
* Education/Teaching qualification
* Speciality Qualification
* PG Certificate in Education


Experience

* Proven experience in managing and delivering education projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
* Experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical and non-clinical staff, patients, and external partners.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse data and produce comprehensive reports to inform decision-making.
* Experience in training, coaching, and supporting staff in improvement projects and change management.
* Familiarity with national guidelines and standards for healthcare education.
* Experience of working within networks
* Experience working as a senior leader in a strategic role
* Good clinical practice training
* Involvement in national strategic planning and specialist areas policy/guideline development.
* National/international presentation experience.
* Experience of influencing education at a national level

* High level of emotional resilience to manage a demanding workload and handle sensitive issues.
* Ability to manage stress effectively, especially in high-pressure situations.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
