Incollaboration with Dementia UK, Quay Health Solutions are looking to recruit aregistered nurse (RGN, RNM, RNMH, RNLD) with a passion for, and experience of,providing relationship-centred dementia care with a strong sense of advocacyand equalities for this client group to join the Admiral Nurse clinical leadand launch a new Admiral Nursing service.
AdmiralNurses are specialist dementia nurses who work with and support people withdementia and their families who have complex needs. Under the supervisionof the Band 7 Admiral Nurse, you will provide specialist one-to-one support,guidance, and practical solutions for families, alongside supporting bestpractice and providing role modelling across Southwark.
Main duties of the job
The Admiral Nurse will support, deliver andcoordinate relationship-centred dementia care within Southwark, in order to improve the experience ofcarers and families affected by dementia withcomplex needs.
Inline with the Admiral Nurse Practice Standards at a specialist level, the postholder will provide:
Specialist bio-psychosocial assessment andsupport for people with dementia and families with complex needs
Facilitation of education and training for staffin the delivery of evidence-based dementia care
Support with policy development and qualityimprovements in relation to dementia care
Consultancy to other health and social careprofessionals regarding dementia

Fourteen practices in North Southwark have come together as Quay Health Solutions (QHS) Community Interest Company to jointly deliver services that improve outcomes for our 205k registered patients. As a GP Federation, QHS provides the building blocks for at scale service delivery and wider system integration through neighbourhoods that are the delivery units of North Southwark Primary Care Network (NSPCN) and our integrated Borough based system. These bring together local health and care organisations (including social care, the voluntary sector and patient groups) to work collaboratively to deliver more joined up, patient-centred services.
You will be employed by Quay Health Solutionsand based in Spa Medical Centre in Bermondsey, London and your role willinclude community working across the whole of Southwark. You will receive ongoingsupport from Dementia UK to maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise asa specialist nurse within dementia care. You will become part of the widernetwork of Admiral Nurses and will have the opportunity to access relevant postgraduate courses and develop professionally, as informed by the Admiral Nurse PracticeStandards.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN/RNMH/RNLD)
* Evidence of continued professional development/training in dementia care
* Commitment to continued professional and practice development through Dementia UKs Admiral Nurse Academy
* Completion of Dementia UKs Pre Admiral Nurse e-learning course prior to starting in post
* Postgraduate qualification in relevant area
