Our School of Psychology has grown significantly over the last few years, and our journey continues. Our academic team brings together extensive experience from academia, professional practice, and industry. Our goal is to equip our students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring they are fully prepared for employment upon graduation
About the Opportunity:
Arden University is setting up Employer Advisory Boards to help ensure programmes are industry aligned and responsive to economic and technological change.
As a member of the Employer Advisory Board, you'll help shape the future of education for the school by sharing your industry expertise and insight. Your contributions will support curriculum development, promote graduate employability, and strengthen partnerships between the faculty and the world of work.
This is a collaborative and strategic role that amplifies employer voice - helping to shape direction and ensure students graduate ready to succeed in the modern workforce.
About You:
You'll be / have
* A professional with current or recent experience in a relevant sector (industry, public sector, non-profit, etc.).
* Understanding of workforce skills needs and/or experience working with early-career talent.
* Willingness to share knowledge, challenge constructively, and collaborate with academic peers.
* Passionate about preparing the next generation of professionals.
* No prior academic or board experience is required-just practical insight and an interest in education.
You will have experience / knowledge in at least one of the following:
* Clinical Counselling or Mental Health/ Healthcare incl. NHS, PWP etc
* Forensic Psychology in Prisons / Probation Services. Rehab etc
* Neurodiversity & Developmental Psychology, (SEN and ADHD etc)
* Educational & Child Psychology
* Occupational & Organisational Psychology
* Digital & AI-Driven/ assisted Psychology incl. apps and online therapy
* Graduate Employability, Workforce Development & Career Pathways
* Public Health & Workforce Strategy
* Social Care & Community-Based Mental Health, inc charity/social enterprise
* Policy, Governance & Professional Bodies, e.g. BPS or HCPC
* Higher Education Governance & Curriculum Design
