DELIVERY MANAGER
Rainford's (Longridge) Limited (RLL Transport) is looking to recruit a Delivery Manager to oversee one of our biggest contracts. The role will be overseeing our operation with DX Express in their Preston Depot. We are currently running 24 routes across the FY, PR and LA Postcodes with a view to these expanding, and the role will be focusing on the management of these routes and the drivers who work on them.
The Role:
* Driving continuous improvement, using DX data and management insights (MI) to improve service delivery.
* Monitoring and improving DX performance metrics, including Speed of Service (ETA's), Timed Deliveries, C2C, Collections, Claims/Enquiries, and more.
* Minimising customer enquiries by enhancing the delivery experience through effective courier management and communication.
* Building sustainable courier coverage to reduce risk and meet growing delivery demands.
* Maintaining cost leadership by managing courier timesheets, ad-hoc payments, local asset use, and vehicle maintenance schedules, reporting back into RLL Finance Dept / Transport Manager / Directors.
* Collaborating with DX delivery units and customer service teams to resolve concerns and improve satisfaction.
* Working closely with DX Staff including the General Manager, Operations Manager and the Collection and Delivery Manager to ensure DX Delivery KPI's are met across all routes.
* Representing RLL Transport in a professional manner when engaging with all key stakeholders.
We are looking for:
* A valid UK driving licence.
* Proven experience in coaching, supporting, and motivating individuals or teams.
* Confident in problem-solving and building effective contingency plans.
* Adaptability – able to flex your communication style across different stakeholders.
* Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Somebody who is ready to hit the ground running and will demonstrate passion and knowledge of the role to drive results.
