We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school environment, providing tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), physical disabilities, and complex learning needs.
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: S72 Area and Surrounding Locations
Hours: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: Immediate / September 2025
About the Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, including Autism, ASD, and physical disabilities.
*
Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to deliver individual learning plans.
*
Assist with personal care and mobility where required.
*
Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction.
*
Help create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism and physical disabilities.
*
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
*
Strong understanding of sensory needs, communication techniques, and behaviour strategies.
*
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
