About The Role Location: Hexham Transfer Station (French Garden Industrial Estate, Hexham, Northumberland NE46 4DL) Salary £12.71 per hour Working 47.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday from 07.30 to 17.30 (4 x 10 hour shifts), Friday 07.30 to 15.00 (1 x 7.5 hour shift), with 30 minutes paid break for lunch Full PPE provided SUEZ Company benefits About The Role What will I be doing? Ensuring that within your areas of responsibility, SUEZ R & R complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions Co-operating with SUEZ R & R and with other employees in order to comply with site permit and all applicable legislation which complies with SUEZ R & R Policies and Procedures. To undertake first aider duties and fire warden duties on site. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role Operating the weighbridge and following waste acceptance procedures to ensure correct and safe import and export of materials. Operating the loading shovel to stockpile material and load wagons for the export of material Maintaining accurate records for the import and export of material and of all activities on the site. Daily Stock takes and daily input of load details for stand alone HWRC’s Maintenance of site equipment and tools Ensuring that within his/her areas of responsibility, SUEZ Recycling & Recovery UK Ltd complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site licence / permit and who will work to ensure site operations exceed the standards required. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous, as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required. The successful applicant will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, operation and maintenance of site equipment. Having basic administration skills for the recording of data on SUEZ R & R UK’s reporting systems will also be advantageous.
