These roles will reside within our Life business unit as part of the Change & Transformation team. The overall purpose of the Change team is to provide oversight and assurance on all aspects of business change and transformation delivery for or impacting our Life business, ensuring alignment with both our Life and wider M&G strategy.
These roles own the end-to-end delivery of medium to highly complex projects. You will be responsible for defining the business case, project objectives, scope, resources, and expected business outcomes, along with detailed project plans. You are expected to implement and adhere to project management methodologies and governance, providing guidance to the project team and key delivery partners to ensure successful delivery and realization of benefits.
Key responsibilities for this role:
1. Own the end-to-end delivery of medium to highly complex projects, identifying key business stakeholders; define business case, project objectives, scope, resources, and expected benefits and outcomes.
2. Work with the Project Sponsor to communicate project outcomes and benefits across the organization to garner support and buy-in.
3. Create and maintain high-quality project plans with risk mitigation strategies, ensuring responsibilities are assigned to project resources.
4. Evaluate delivery options and team performance, providing feedback and adjusting plans regularly based on scope, schedule, budget, risks, outcomes, and benefits.
5. Provide forecasts of future Change and BAU resources required for the project.
6. Guide the project team to deliver the project within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, benefits, and risks.
7. Conduct lessons learned sessions during the project and implement recommendations to improve team performance and share knowledge.
8. Adhere to governance standards, maintain accurate RACI and RAID logs, and ensure proper documentation and governance structures are in place.
9. Produce management information and ensure all mandatory documentation is completed and signed off at each project stage.
10. Forecast external costs, understand cost variances, and take actions to control costs or raise change requests.
11. Monitor and report progress to stakeholders, including ongoing business case viability.
12. Identify and manage issues, risks, and dependencies, escalating when necessary, and act as an escalation point for the Project Sponsor.
13. Complete project handover to BAU and support benefits realization activities.
14. Manage resource planning, motivate the team, and develop others through guidance, mentoring, or coaching.
15. Manage relationships with teams, external suppliers, and other functions to ensure timely delivery.
16. Support the Lead Programme Management Officer in establishing governance and applying the Project Change Standard.
17. Conduct training workshops to improve project and change management capabilities across the team.

* Effective stakeholder management across different levels.
