We are seeking a talented 2D Animator and AI Video Producer to create engaging and eye-catching videos for our social media platforms. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of animation techniques and AI tools, with a knack for storytelling through visuals for a consumer audience. This series is a part of launching our new company into the US market. Help us build and launch our brand It is a short-term project with potential for ongoing work based on performance and campaign success.
What We Need:
-Custom 2D Animated Character: Design and animate a brand mascot character based on our detailed creative brief (character personality, style, and key attributes will be provided after NDA)
-Character Variations: 4 outfit/styling variations of the same character for different scenarios (casual, professional, home/family, baseline/brand)
-1 Launch Video (60 seconds): Instagram/Facebook optimized, square (1:1) and vertical (9:16) formats
-3 Short-Form Videos (30 seconds each): Series format with consistent structure, same format requirements
-Total Deliverables: 1 character design (4 variations) + 4 videos, each in 2 formats (1:1 and 9:16) = character files + 8 final video files
Your Responsibilities:
-Design and create a custom 2D animated character based on our detailed character brief (monochromatic color scheme, specific personality traits, multiple outfit variations)
-Animate the character with natural movement, expressions, and key signature gestures
Generate AI video footage based on detailed scene descriptions and storyboards we provide
-Composite your animated character into AI-generated live-action footage with proper lighting, shadows, and spatial integration
-Edit and assemble footage according to precise timing specifications
-Generate and integrate AI voiceover using ElevenLabs or similar (we'll provide scripts; human voice actors NOT needed)
-Integrate sound design, music, and effects
-Color grade for consistency and professional quality
-Add text overlays, captions, and call-to-action elements
-Revisions based on feedback (2 rounds included per video)
Required Skills & Experience
-MUST HAVE: 2D character design and animation skills
-MUST HAVE: Experience with AI video generation tools
-MUST HAVE: Character compositing skills
-Professional video editing
-Experience with AI voiceover tools
-Sound design and audio mixing capabilities
-Social media video optimization (mobile-first design, captions, aspect ratios)
-Portfolio showing similar work (2D character animation, AI-generated video, character compositing into live action)
-Ability to work from detailed creative briefs and storyboards

Illustrative Project Timeline
We need to move quickly while maintaining good quality. The launch video is priority and must be ready in 5 weeks. Episodes follow on a weekly cadence.
-Weeks 1-5: Character Design + Launch Video (PRIORITY): Week 1 for character design and approval, Weeks 2-5 for launch video production. Launch video must be ready to publish by end of Week 5.
-Week 6: Episode 1 (30 sec): Production is faster now that character and workflow are established. Ready to publish Week 6.
-Week 7: Episode 2 (30 sec): Ready to publish Week 7.
-Week 8: Episode 3 (30 sec): Ready to publish Week 8.
-Total project duration: 8 weeks with rolling deliverables. Launch video is the hero piece and gets 5 weeks. Episodes follow on weekly schedule once character/style is locked.
Budget & Payment
We need good quality work at competitive rates on a tight timeline. This is a startup project with an aggressive schedule - we're looking for efficient, skilled freelancers who can deliver solid work quickly without cutting corners.
-Payment Structure: Per video milestone (payment upon approval of each completed video)
-Budget Range: Please submit your rate per video in your proposal. We're open to discussing package rates for all 4 videos.
-Future Work: Strong potential for ongoing collaboration if campaign performs well. We may need additional videos, variations, or extended campaigns as we grow.
