Planner - Engineering / ManufacturingLocation: Sunbury-on-Thames, SurreySalary: £28,000-£35,000 (dependent on experience) A leading manufacturer within the aerospace and medical sector is seeking a Planner to join their production team. This role will suit someone with a strong background in manufacturing planning who enjoys improving processes and ensuring materials and resources are in place to meet customer delivery schedules. As a Planner, you'll coordinate with purchasing, engineering, stores, and dispatch teams to ensure production runs smoothly. You'll also play a key role in forecasting, improving MRP accuracy, and contributing to on-time delivery and inventory control targets.Responsibilities:Plan and prioritise materials and work orders across the shop floorCoordinate with purchasing to ensure availability and quality of materialsMaintain and action MRP exception messages and works ordersSupport production forecasting and align with sales planning activitiesDevelop and enhance planning procedures and scheduling processesCommunicate proactively with customer services on delivery updates and changesSupport traceability and compliance with aerospace/medical standardsRequirements:Strong planning experience within a manufacturing environmentExperience with MRP or ERP systemsConfident communicator across departments (Production, Purchasing, Engineering)Understanding of traceability and documentation requirementsProcess-driven mindset with a continuous improvement attitudeJoin a company that values precision, reliability, and professional development - where your planning expertise directly contributes to customer success and operational excellence.
