Overview
Greenwich Time To Talk is the NHS Talking Therapies for Depression and Anxiety service (formerly known as Improving Access to Psychological Therapies, IAPT) in the borough of Greenwich. We opened in 2009 and deliver a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and counselling‑based psychological interventions through a stepped‑care treatment model to people with common mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver short‑term interventions such as Guided Self‑Help, SilverCloud cCBT and psycho‑educational groups.
* Participate in specialist project groups – older people, veterans, BAME, LGBTQ+ and service‑user led groups.
* Mentor trainee PWPs and contribute to service development projects.
* Manage a caseload, attend individual case‑management supervision, group clinical skills supervisions and line management meetings.
* Provide timely written reports to GPs and clients.
* Travel locally and be available for a 12‑pm to 8‑pm shift once a week to cover service hours.
Qualifications
* Postgraduate certificate in IAPT Low‑Intensity interventions (e.g., Post Graduate Certificate in Psychological Well‑Being Practice).
* Registered with the BABCP or BPS.
* Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field with a significant psychology component.
Experience
* Experience delivering Step‑2 evidence‑based interventions (guided self‑help, CBT computer packages, psycho‑educational groups) as per NICE stepped‑care guidelines.
* Work experience as a psychology assistant, primary‑care mental health worker or PWP.
* Understanding of primary‑care health services and mental health work within that setting.
* Risk assessment and risk‑management skills.
* Demonstrated caseload and time management ability.

* Strong computer and IT skills.
* Effective written communication: professional letters and reports.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
