Mental Health Recovery Support Worker £28,700 Queens Road, Peckham

Dinardo Care and Supports Ltd provides an extensive supported housing service for adults with diverse mental health needs across South London, including Catford, Lewisham, Peckham, Norwood, and Croydon.

We are expanding and have new opportunities for Mental Health Recovery Support Workers at our new Peckham-based service. Join an established team dedicated to prioritizing residents' wellbeing.


Hours of Work:

* 7am – 3pm
* 9am – 5pm
* 2pm – 10pm

Salary: £28,700 per annum


Role Overview:

* Work with the Service Delivery Team alongside the Unit Team Leader and Group Manager.
* Provide high-quality, resident-focused support addressing individual needs.
* Manage a caseload, conducting needs and risk assessments, and developing support plans.
* Ensure support plans are SMART, regularly reviewed, and evidence progress.
* Offer empathetic, flexible support tailored to each resident’s goals.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including external support services.
* Facilitate referrals to move-on accommodations and support residents through the process.
* Assist residents with appointments and participate in meetings and community activities.
* Conduct premises inspections and support team coaching.


Candidate Requirements:

* Experience with homelessness or vulnerable housing issues.
* Tenacity and a positive, professional attitude.
* Problem-solving skills in challenging situations.
* Strong communication skills (written, verbal, IT).
* Ability to produce concise, accurate reports.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
* Understanding of strengths-based practice, PIE, stages of change, or trauma-informed care is advantageous.
* Adherence to policies, commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* Knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and regulations.
* Flexibility to travel between units.
* Pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
* Confidentiality and professionalism.
* Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks.
* Empathy paired with the ability to set boundaries.
* Role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
