Capgemini is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to work as part of a team in supporting the engineering infrastructure of a large company in the aerospace industry. The role is primarily Linux based across different network layers and involves allocating processing, storage, and memory for complex simulation activities, as well as maintaining various applications on the infrastructure, including incident and request management.
Responsibilities
* Application support, including installation and upgrades
* Provision of HPC resources (mainly for system engineering, e.g., Matlab)
* Infrastructure administration (Red Hat Linux/Kickstart/VMware Systems)
* Information management in liaison with support groups (Data Centre Service, Networks)
* Hardware diagnostics, shell scripting, management, investigation and resolution of support tickets within the SLA
* System updates (applications, middleware, database)
* Interacting with fellow Capgemini team members, other suppliers, and various client stakeholders
