Description Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world Wood is recruiting for a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to support our Operations team based at our Stockton office on contract basis for 6 months. This role will be working on a hybrid working arrangement, 3-4 days in Stockton Office. LI-Hybrid The Role Contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through: Executing assigned scopes of work Providing discipline expertise to the business Supporting and supervising task delegation to team Uses technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems. Completes almost any engineering tasks with minimal guidance and direction. May serve as the primary discipline engineer or discipline technical authority on projects with small to medium complexity Responsibilities Designing the future. Transforming the world P&E offers a wide range of opportunities which will allow you to develop your skills across a portfolio of onshore projects in different sectors. Our current portfolio includes green hydrogen and fuel switching, as well as supporting local clients with energy transition. Additionally, we work on UK refineries, petrochemical facilities, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical facilities. We have a number of clients who we are working with to design their pilot plants to test exciting new technologies, with a view to partnering with them as they move to design and build full scale commercial facilities. Minimum Qualifications: ISCED Level 6 Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 Masters (preferred) Degree in engineering discipline, alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence Chartership or relevant professional engineer status accredited by a national or industry engineering institution preferred Minimum Experience: Requires mature professional knowledge and extensive progressive experience in general engineering.
