Robert Half Technology are assisting a leading education organisation to recruit a First Line Support Engineer on a contract basis. On-site full time - Ipswich based, with occasional visits to the London office.
Role
* Provide first line IT support for staff and students across the school environment.
* Act as a floor walker and respond to tickets in a timely manner.
* Support and troubleshoot hardware and software, including printers, interactive whiteboards, Windows devices, Chrome Books, and other classroom technology.
* Escalate issues where necessary and ensure swift resolution.
* Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain accurate support records.
* Maintain awareness of emerging IT support practices and technologies relevant to the school environment.
* Occasionally visit the London office for meetings, training, or collaborative tasks.
Profile
* 1-2 years' experience in first line IT support, preferably in an education or MSP environment.
* ComTIA certification required.
* DOC certified.
* Strong understanding of Windows OS, Chrome OS, printers, whiteboards, and classroom technology.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to support users in a professional and approachable manner.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
