This role is an exciting opportunity to work in a tight knit, hard-working team which sits at the heart of the British Armys intent to transform into a software defined Army and deliver the digital platform which will act as a catalyst for tripling the Armys lethality by the end of the decade. Key responsibilities: Engaging across Army Headquarters Futures Directorate and with external stakeholders to ensure that the Armys Innovation, Research and Experimentation is coherent with the Armys future digital and data strategy and communications, cyber and electronic warfare capability roadmap. Attending internal Army Futures Military Capability Planning working groups, capability user boards and functional capability working groups to ensure that military capability planning outcomes are coherent with the Army's Land Domain Digital Ecosystem. Working with the non-Information Manoeuvre capability planning groups to manage dependencies, highlight opportunities and potential cross cutting activities. Working with industry, academia, and the Science & Technology community to identify future and/or developing technologies with the potential to meet identified Army digital capability requirements. Interact with DSTL, jHub, Defence and Security Accelerator related Science and Technology activity to support the development of communications, cyber and electronic warfare capability. In conjunction with stakeholders, develop use cases to demonstrate the utility of the capabilities and technologies identified to meet Armys future communications, cyber and electronic warfare capability requirements. Producing the necessary documentation to secure funding to pursue or develop identified future communications, cyber and electronic warfare capability opportunities. Work closely with a small team of regular and reserve military personnel. As part of a small, whole force team, you will need to be agile to the changing needs of the branch and work flexibly to support the Assistant Head and other colleagues as required. Maintain a broad oversight of all branch activity, and have the ability to call on subject matter expertise as required, and to seize the initiative to identify and treat risks before they become issues.
