Position Title: Teaching Assistant
Profile: 1.2 Learning Support
Temporary until August 31st 2026
Part Time - Weekly hours: 27.5
Grade: 01 SCP Range: 02-04 Salary Range: pro rata
Employment Start Date: 20.04.2026
We are looking for a team player; someone who is willing to work alongside others and under the guidance of class teachers and the headteacher. Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate in a positive, encouraging manner are essential qualities. The successful candidate will play a key part in assisting in the delivery of an exciting curriculum for 27.5 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience of being a teaching assistant within a primary setting
• Have worked with children with specific learning, physical and social needs.
• Be a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Have high expectations of pupil behaviour
• Contribute to the ethos of a friendly, happy school, in which the personal development and well-being of the children is given the highest priority.

As this post will result in you having substantial contact with children, and/or vulnerable adults the successful applicant will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check.
