Role Details: This role is to ensure the warehouse operational standards are achieved. As part of the day shift team you will be responsible for the site standards of ambient, chilled & cold-store warehouse which include bailing, scrubbing, sweeping and tidying. You will need to use the a pallet truck, recycling of shrink wrap & cardboard and to ensure all under pallet cleaning is completed to a high standard. All aspects of a busy warehouse environment will need to be kept clean to the highest standard and your duties will include Warehouse intake, replenishment and stock control functions. Some of the responsibilities of this role include: To ensure that all specific tasks are carried out within the time frame set To ensure that health and safety is adhered to at all times To ensure your role is completed to the highest standards set To be flexible in your approach to the role To report all accidents What you need to succeed: The successful candidate must have a positive can do attitude, be keen to learn new skills and have a desire to make a difference. Experience as a Warehouse Operative in a cold store environment. Knowledge of warehouse cleaning protocols. Experience using a a Bailer. Excellent organisational skills. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external customers - this includes employees, managers, visitors and delivery drivers. Experience and relevant licence or certification to utilise Powered Pallet Trucks & Fork Lifts would be desirable, but not essential. Successful candidates will also be required to have the flexibility to work extra hours in line with the business needs. Contracted hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts - Days.
