Teaching Assistant – Mary Elliot Academy (Walsall) Location: Walsall (WS2) Type: Full-Time / Long-Term Salary: £85–£95 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications) Start Date: Immediate The School and Role ABC Teachers are working in partnership with Mary Elliot Academy, a specialist SEND school in Walsall, to recruit dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Mary Elliot Academy provides a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment where pupils are supported to develop communication, independence, and life skills. Many pupils require 1:1 or small-group support, including assistance with learning, personal care, and sensory activities. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide tailored support that helps pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in SEND, care, healthcare, or support work, or those looking to build a long-term career in specialist education.
