Main duties of the job
As a Paediatric Nurse, you will:
1. Bring valuable post-registration experience, including work on the surgical ward, with a dual training approach that equips you for both paediatric and adult care environments.
2. Ideally possess Intermediate Life Support (ILS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
3. Have a passion for delivering exceptional care to look after children between the ages of 3-16 years during their pre/post operative stay on the ward and whilst they attend clinics and procedures around the hospital.
4. Play a vital role in supporting children through their hospital journey, acting as a trusted support for both patients and their parents or guardians.
5. Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as an essential part of our ward team.
6. Broaden your skills across a wide variety of cases.
7. Work within different specialist areas.
8. Benefit from flexible hours.
About us
Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital specializes in orthopaedics, spinal surgery, eye care, oncology, diagnostic imaging, and general surgery. Located on the outskirts of Royal Leamington Spa, it offers easy access by rail and road, with a large, free car park. Our CYP Service provides inpatient and day case surgery, including orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, general surgery, and dental/maxillofacial services. We also offer diagnostic imaging, a CYP phlebotomy service, and preoperative assessments for children admitted for surgery.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC), with relevant post-registration experience.
* Paediatric Immediate Life Support (PILS) or equivalent certification is desirable.
Experience
* Post-registration experience, including work on surgical wards, with dual training for paediatric and adult care environments.
Additional Requirements
This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
