Main duties of the job
* This role involves processing and picking pharmaceutical stock for ward/clinical areas, visiting wards for pharmacy top-up services, and delivering medication as needed. You will use the pharmacy robot and WellSky system, maintaining a clean environment.
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent, e.g., NPA Dispensary Assistants Course) is required to be eligible.
* Training and enrolment onto the apprenticeship NVQ Level 2 will be considered for suitable candidates with the right skills and enthusiasm.

Job responsibilities
* Receiving and signing for goods, checking against delivery notes, and recording in the system, with specific procedures for controlled drugs.
* Maintaining accurate records of deliveries for audit and recall purposes.

Hours of Work
* Monday to Friday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (with 1-hour lunch)
* Rotational weekends, including bank holidays: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (with 30-minute lunch)

Person Specification
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience in similar roles, pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and team working.
Qualifications and Training
* Progress towards NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
* Pharmacy-related NVQ Level 2 modules.
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to read instructions, work independently, carry out routine tasks, and communicate effectively.
* Basic computer skills and ability to recognize limitations.
Personal Qualities
* Professional, friendly, flexible, and mature.
