We are exclusively recruiting a talented Payroll Officer to join their office based on site in the Carlisle area. Your new role You will provide an efficient and effective payroll administration and processing service offering accurate and timely processing of employee's payroll end to end. This is a high-volume and fast-paced role. Processing of monthly payroll, ensuring pay is accurate and on time. Dealing with any queries from employees and line managers in relation to pay, including adding new starters, to holiday queries, leavers, and payslip detail. Process absence in compliance with regulations regarding statutory leave. Comply with HMRC guidelines by completing and submitting any relevant forms, applying tax codes and national insurance instructions. Maintaining leave, sickness and overtime reports. Updating and maintenance of employee records. Maintain confidential payroll records and tax returns, which will be used in audits. Support with other financial administration tasks as required. What you'll need to succeed Strong IT skills and excel experience. Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation. Excellent communication skills with internal and external parties. Experience maintaining information records to a high standard. Good numerical and analytical skills. What you'll get in return £28,000-£30,000 per annum - experience dependant. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Company pension with generous pension contributions.
