We are recruiting on behalf of leading and prestigious contract packing and reworking company based just outside of Kings Lynn, due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a Machine and Maintenance Operative to join their friendly team as soon as possible. This will be an ongoing contract leading to permanent for the right candidate. Hours will be Monday to Thursday 7am – 6pm Overtime also available. Salary dependent on experience and skills Duties include assisting with the daily setting up of all production lines and start-up of all machines. Carrying out preventative maintenance requirements for all machinery and equipment and completing necessary paperwork. Carrying out daily machine guard checks and completing necessary paperwork. Providing help and assistance to Supervisors and Line Leaders in response to breakdowns and faults and being pro-active in this area. Be present and observe all activities on the shop floor and look out for possible issues and remedy as quickly as possible to keep production continuous. Carrying out general site and building maintenance as and when required and completing enhancements on production lines. Understand how all machinery operates including tray makers, labellers, can loaders, shrink wrap ovens, date coders, compressors and cardboard/polythene balers.
