LSL Franchising is one of the UK's largest providers of estate agency franchise services. The division's principal business is providing franchising services, such as brand marketing and commercial and IT support, to a network of 62 franchisees operating over 310 territories across the UK. These territories are independently managed and operated by franchisees under various brands, including Your Move and Reeds Rains, as well as several local brands.
We are seeking a commercially-minded and strategically-driven Operations & Finance Manager for a key business unit supporting our national franchise network. Based within our Client Accounts office in Chorley, this role combines hands-on leadership with strategic thinking—perfect for someone who thrives on improving processes, driving performance, and making data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities Include
1. Lead the day-to-day operations of the Client Accounts team, ensuring effective workflow management and service delivery.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and reporting capabilities.
3. Oversee financial controls, planning, reporting, and compliance—particularly in relation to client money.
4. Monitor key performance indicators and provide insight-led recommendations to senior stakeholders.
5. Collaborate closely with divisional and group-level leadership on strategic planning and transformation projects.
6. Manage a core team of 3 and oversee a wider operational team of 35+ FTE.
About You
1. Preferably a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong financial and operational background.
2. Demonstrated success in leading teams and improving business performance.
3. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insights.
4. Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance, and process optimization.
5. Advanced Excel and reporting skills; confident in producing executive-level presentations.
6. Proven experience engaging with senior management and contributing to strategic planning.
Desirable Experience
1. Exposure to treasury, banking, or franchising environments.
2. Experience within large or corporate organizations.
3. Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills.
4. Background in client accounting or contact center operations.
