Our global procurement team is looking for an experienced, hands-on Global Category Manager who will craft the future of our third-party logistics (3PL) warehousing strategy. Join a world-class team and work with diverse, dedicated people across multiple geographies.
As Global Category Manager, you will lead strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and continuous improvement initiatives across our global 3PL warehouse category. You will align business requirements with global logistics strategy to deliver savings, innovation, and enhanced performance.
What you will be doing?
* Develop and implement a global 3PL warehousing category strategy that supports business goals
* Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier performance management
* Drive total cost of ownership savings initiatives through competitive tenders and continuous process improvement
* Build strong relationships with regional logistics teams, operations leaders, and key business partners
* Maintain visibility of market trends and drive standard processes in supplier partnerships
* Drive sustainability and innovation within the category strategy
What will you need to be successful?
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, engineering, economics, finance, or related field (CIPS or similar qualification a plus)
* Confirmed experience in Contract-Logistics Procurement environment, preferably in a MedTech environment
* Proven track record in leading complex 3PL warehousing negotiations and groundbreaking sourcing projects (e.g., outsourcing) with 3PL providers
* Proven ability to deliver strategic cost savings and supplier improvements
* Strong understanding of global supply chains, contracts, and service level agreements
* Good knowledge of warehousing operations and storage/handling solutions, as well as 3PL management
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Analytical approach and hands-on attitude with a drive to continuously improve
