SEND Class Teacher – ASC / Structured Learning
Salary: MPS (Outer London) £36,745 – £47,666 plus SEN point (£2,539 – £5,285), dependent on experience
Lindon Bennett School is seeking a passionate SEND Class Teacher with proven experience in teaching pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), including those with behavioural differences, and a strong ability to deliver highly structured, personalised learning programmes.
As a Class Teacher, you will provide outstanding teaching to a small class of pupils and lead a team of skilled support staff. You will play a central role in creating a predictable, nurturing and well-structured learning environment, using consistent routines, clear expectations and evidence based strategies to support pupils’ regulation, engagement and communication.
You must hold UK QTS and have SEND teaching experience, particularly in supporting pupils with ASC and complex behavioural needs through structured approaches (such as visual supports, individual behaviour plans and sensory-informed practice) or demonstrate a strong commitment to developing your expertise in this area.
Your Role Will Involve
•Delivering a personalised, structured curriculum that supports pupils with ASC, including sensory, communication and behavioural differences
•Implementing consistent routines and evidence-based strategies to promote independence and engagement
•Leading and collaborating with support staff to maximise pupil outcomes
•Working closely with wider school staff to create and maintain outstanding learning opportunities
•Ensuring the safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion of all pupils at all times
•Building strong relationships with families, carers and a dedicated multi-professional team
