Overview
Mental Health Liaison Practitioner - Band 6 role at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.
Permanent position within the Mental Health Liaison Team, a Psychiatric Liaison Service operating from three Acute hospitals in Coventry, Nuneaton and Warwick. We have secured funding to recruit additional Band 6 clinicians to join our expanding multidisciplinary team and to enhance our service in line with the NHS 5 Year Forward View for Mental Health to achieve a CORE 24 service. In the near future, the role may develop to facilitate initial community follow-up in line with CORE 24 objectives.
We are strengthening our team and are looking for skilled, motivated and compassionate practitioners to increase our hours of service and provide a more responsive and comprehensive service for people who attend A&E or are receiving care in a general hospital.
Responsibilities
You will need experience of working with people across a broad spectrum of mental disorders, including individuals who self-harm or are in mental health crisis or experiencing mental disorders associated with ageing. Successful candidates will join a well-established and supportive team comprising Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Support Workers and a Clinical Trainer to support new staff joining the team. The service has been rated Good by the CQC with Outstanding for care and compassion, and has local and national recognition through awards.
The service currently provides a full range of expanding mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull, serving a population of over one million people. On average, around 5,000 patients are seen daily in the wider service network.
Qualifications/Experience
* Background in Adult Mental Health, Learning Disability and/or Older Adults Mental Health.
* We particularly welcome applications from Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.
