Support Worker Pay rate: £15.00 (Weekly or Monthly pay) Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work one shift each week, alternating between Monday and Saturday. You will also be expected to provide cover for annual leave when needed. We’re looking for caring, reliable and confident Support Workers to join a small, dedicated team supporting an individual living at home with their family in Chorley. This person has complex clinical needs, autism, epilepsy, a communication disorder and behaviours that may present as challenging. They rely on a consistent, understanding team who can support them to live well and feel secure. Most importantly, they are fun, active, and thrive on a structured routine. They love swimming, trampolining, browsing local shops, visiting funfairs, and spending time in churches.To make the most of these activities, we’re seeking people who know the local area and hold a full UK driving licence. What You’ll Be Doing As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping this individual live safely, comfortably, and in a way that reflects their preferences. Your day may include: Providing high‑quality support on a 2:1 basis Creating opportunities for meaningful activities at home and in the community Encouraging social interaction and supporting emotional wellbeing Facilitating communication in the way that works best for them. Helping with routine household tasks to maintain a calm, well‑organised environment Experience and Skills of a Support Worker: A full UK driving licence is essential, as regular outings form an important part of their routine. Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including autism, mental health conditions, epilepsy, and behaviours that may present as challenging. The ability to adapt to different situations, work well under pressure, communicate clearly, and build positive, trusting relationships. A strong understanding of person‑centred support, with a commitment to empowering someone to live life to their fullest potential.
