Job Summary:
BRUSH Group are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Junior Contracts Manager to strengthen our growing Legal and Compliance Team. Reporting to the Group Legal Director, this role will provide instrumental support to the department and across the wider business. Working with key stakeholders to drive positive behaviours and diligence across the business.
The role will support a wide range of legal and compliance activities, including contract reviews and project support to embed new initiatives within the organisation. This position will be based at our head office in Loughborough. Travel to other BRUSH locations may be required from time to time.

The Junior Contracts Manager will learn about and support activities including:
* Conducting reviews, analysis and negotiation of business contracts with customers, suppliers and other third parties.
* Assist with the drafting of legal contracts
* Assisting the Group Compliance Manager with projects and the implementation of new initiatives across the business.
* Supporting dispute resolutions and litigation processes including Intellectual Property and insurance matters.
* Providing support to the wider team with commercial risk management.
* Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
* Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Qualifications
* A-level or relevant apprenticeship qualification in related discipline
* GCSE Grade 9-5 in Maths and English
Skills
* Excellent attention to detail, prioritisation, time management and analytical skills
* A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
* Diligent in approach to tasks
* Eager to learn and continuously develop knowledge base, studying legal concepts ensuring knowledge remains up to date
* Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
* Comprehensive IT Skills. Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs.
Knowledge
* General understanding of foundational contract law concepts such as offer, acceptance, consideration, breach, causation and loss and damage.
* Commercial awareness and knowledge of tendering processes.
* Any additional legal or compliance experience would be beneficial in this role, although training will be provided.
* Knowledge of project management concepts is desirable but not essential.
Experience – The following would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Experience of working in a commercial/engineering/project management department.
* Experience handling legal and compliance matters.
* Industry experience in a manufacturing, engineering or construction.
* Role may suit a graduate or someone with experience working in a legal environment.
