Assistant Management Accountant About you: The Finance team works alongside other Group Services functions, such as IT, HR and Reception to assist the agencies at all levels in a pragmatic, approachable and client-first manner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hardworking, family run company, which is not your usual office environment (we don't really do corporate!). We offer the opportunity to work and develop in a friendly and fun environment. This is a role that requires you to get stuck in and hit the ground running, supporting the core functions of the Finance department and contributing to the continued improvement of the commercial health and performance of the business. This will involve working closely with key stakeholders within the agencies so strong relationship building and communication skills are key. You’ll be part or fully AAT qualified, with a few years’ experience of assistant management accounts production under your belt. Excel and finance systems (ideally Paprika) are your playground, you love pivot tables and vlookups, which we find just as exciting as you do! You’ll be an outgoing and confident individual, supporting the production of month end management accounts, preparing accruals and prepayments, reconciling system control accounts, as well as producing management reports, assisting with VAT returns and supporting the annual budget and forecast processes. You’ll need to be flexible, able to adapt to cover and support with purchase and sales ledgers by being involved with cash allocations, daily reconciliations, payment runs and raising sales invoices and credit notes. But you’ll be up for any challenge and keen to prove your potential by always looking to see how we can work better and smarter, having the confidence to challenge and develop methods of best practice. With experience in a similar role, you will have fast and accurate data entry skills, a good knowledge of accounts, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills which will help you create great working relationships across the business. Ideally you would have worked in a similar creative environment and are looking at furthering your professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA), which we are happy to support with. You will also have ambition and commercial acumen, along with a ‘can do’ attitude and are confidential by nature. You will be working with employees of all levels across the business, helping them with any questions they may have, guiding them through the financial processes, providing query resolution to business stakeholders along with ensuring procedures are adhered to. You will require an adaptable style of working with a flexible approach. You will have a desire to understand the business, supporting the business objectives whilst proactively helping others. We are offering a competitive salary and benefits package which includes 25 days holiday plus bank holiday entitlement with the opportunity to buy more.
