Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Buyer role based in Stonehouse. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services to support production and business operations. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials, and managing inventory levels. The role also involves identifying cost-saving opportunities and collaborating with internal teams to meet production goals and supply chain objectives.

Qualifications

* Strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier negotiation and relationship management
* Identify and onboard new suppliers capable of meeting high quality standards. Conduct site audits to ensure their quality control matches your brand's prestige.
* Execute Purchase Orders (POs) based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Bill of Materials (BOM).
* Proactively manage long lead-time items to prevent production bottlenecks.
* Work closely with production and inspection to resolve supplier quality issues and manage the \"Return to Vendor\" (RTV) process.
* Experience in inventory control and stock management processes
* Knowledge of supply chain operations and purchasing systems
* Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent organizational abilities
* Proficiency with business software, such as ERP systems and spreadsheets
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
* Ability to work with and build bills of materials (BOMS)
* Ability to make data-driven decisions and identify cost-saving initiatives
* Familiarity with the manufacturing or electronics industry is an advantage
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
