Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Across Mainstream and Specialist Settings
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work full-time across schools in Chesterfield and Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The Role:
Work on a 1:1 basis with children who have a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.
Provide tailored support within both mainstream and specialist education settings, adapting your approach to suit each child's individual needs.
Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to help deliver personalised learning plans and ensure every child can reach their full potential.
Support the wider classroom environment and contribute to creating an inclusive, nurturing learning atmosphere.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with SEND children in both specialist and mainstream settings is essential.
A proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning and well being.
Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (term-time).
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
