The
Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)
is looking for newly qualified or early-career lawyers to join us as
Crown Prosecutors
- a court-based role where you'll gain hands-on experience, professional growth, and the chance to make a real difference to the communities we serve.
As a Crown Prosecutor, You Will
Represent the CPS in the Magistrates' Court - attending in person most days
Review case files and decide whether prosecutions should proceed
Advise police and investigators on summary-only and some either-way offences
Develop oral and written advocacy skills in live courtroom settings
Work closely with colleagues, the judiciary, police and other justice partners

Essential Criteria
Qualified solicitor or barrister
Practising certificate (before you start your role)
Law degree
