Administrative Assistant
Mount Stuart Hospital - Torquay
30 Hours per week
Mount Stuart Hospital is one of Devon's leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services. The hospital opened in 1984 and has 31 inpatient rooms. The Hospital provides private hospital treatments including full diagnostic and endoscopy procedures, orthopaedic surgery, weight loss surgery, physiotherapy and cosmetic surgery.
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Outpatients Department.
The role
The successful candidate will be expected to:-
* Organise/book preoperative assessment appointments.
* Obtain test results/ reports from other healthcare providers as requested by the clinical team.
* Compile preoperative assessment documentation prior to clinics.
* To have some understanding of different contracts to ensure the correct patient pathway is achieved.
* Requesting NHS notes and arranging anaesthetist review appointments as requested by the clinical team.
* To receive telephone calls regarding outpatient and pre-operative assessments.
* Organising preoperative Covid19 swabs as directed by the clinical team.
* Help manage Nurse clinic dairies.
* Enter Friends and Family feedback Data.
* Help manage pathology/histology results.
* Complete Daily consultant room billing
What you'll bring with you
* Demonstrable Computer Skills (particularly MS Office Package)
* Sound written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
* Demonstrable Customer Service skills
* Previous experience in the health sector would be desirable, but not essential
