Senior Bid Writer
Location: GlasgowJob Type: Full-time, Permanent, office-based. Experience Required: 3–5 years
An established yet growing contractor based in Glasgow is looking to appoint a Senior Bid Writer to support their ongoing work-winning efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the construction industry – or a closely related sector – to join a forward-thinking business that values quality, consistency, and creative input.
As a Senior Bid Writer, you will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of high-quality, engaging submissions, helping the business secure new opportunities across a range of projects.
Key responsibilities include:
• Completing pre-qualification questionnaires and tender submissions• Writing compelling, creative, and technically accurate bid content• Ensuring all documents meet brand and visual presentation standards• Managing bid administration and supporting documentation• Sourcing and identifying potential new business opportunities• Producing engaging content for case studies, newsletters, the company website, and industry news articles• Managing social media accounts and content, and monitoring campaign success• Advising on best practice and future improvements in bid and content delivery
What we're looking for: You'll be a self-motivated and organised individual who is confident working independently as well as part of a wider team. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a creative mindset are key. Ideally, you'll also bring:
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role• Background in construction or a related field• Proficiency across Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
