Quality Apprentice Jobs in Andover at Stannah – Join Our Team!
Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Apprentice to join the Quality Team based at the Watt Close Site.
This role will involve learning and supporting the Quality Team to ensure components and products meet customer requirements (both internal and external) at every stage of the manufacturing process. You will gain hands-on experience within a modern manufacturing environment while developing technical skills in quality inspection, metrology equipment, and engineering processes.
As the Quality Apprentice you will work Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45, Friday 08:00 to 13:00. This role is an apprenticeship contract and will include both on-the-job training and completion of the associated apprenticeship programme.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for engineering or technology who wants to build a career in quality and manufacturing.
To be successful as the Quality Apprentice, it is essential that you have a practical aptitude for engineering or technology and strong attention to detail. Experience in interpreting engineering drawings or working in a manufacturing environment would be desirable.
Quality Apprentice Responsibilities:
* Undertake inspection of mechanical and electrical components to ensure quality standards are met
* Follow written procedures and quality processes throughout the manufacturing process
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support inspection activities
* Use a range of measurement tools including hand instruments and CMM equipment
* Maintain accurate inspection records and complete apprenticeship coursework and training
Training and Development:
* Duration of 12 months.
* A mix of practical training, mentoring, and distance education.
* You will achieve a recognised qualification in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Level 4 Quality Practioner.

Qualifications
Quality Apprentice Requirements:
* 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 4 or above, or 2–3 A-Levels at grade C or above
* A practical interest in engineering, manufacturing, or technology
* Good IT skills and confidence using PC-based systems
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently
