Design & Technology Teacher (Food & Nutrition)
Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher, specialising in Food and Nutrition, to join a well-regarded secondary school in Holbury. Youll be responsible for delivering engaging, well-planned lessons to Key Stage 3 students, inspiring creativity, independence, and a love for practical learning.

You will play a vital role in shaping pupils understanding of nutrition, cooking skills, and safe food practices, while contributing to the wider D&T curriculum.
The Role:
Teach KS3 Food & Nutrition and contribute to the wider Design & Technology curriculum
Deliver highengaging lessons aligned with curriculum objectives
Plan, prepare, and assess students work effectively
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Safely manage practical lessons, equipment, and resources
Work collaboratively with the D&T department to enhance curriculum delivery
Ideal Candidate:
A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) specialising in D&T or Food Technology
Strong subject knowledge in Food & Nutrition
Experience teaching KS3 students
Confident in delivering practical lessons safely and effectively
A positive, proactive attitude with strong classroom management
Passionate about inspiring the next generation of creative learners
Contract Details:
Location: Holbury, Hampshire
Position: Design & Technology Teacher (Food & Nutrition)
Start date: After Easter Holidays
Contract type: Full-time until the conclusion of the school year
Salary: GBP 32,916 - GBP 51,047 per annum (depending on experience)
Key Stage: KS3
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
QTS/QTLS required
Experience delivering Food & Nutrition within a school environment
Up-to-date safeguarding training (can be provided)
Eligibility:
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to provide two professional references from recent teaching roles
