Decontamination Maintenance Engineer

To assist the Estates Department in the provision of an efficient and cost-effective system of specialist services in respect to the maintaining, testing (weekly, quarterly & annually) and revalidating Autoclaves (Sterilisers), Washer Disinfectors including Endoscope Washer Disinfectors and Endoscope Dryers in accordance with the requirements of Department of Health best practice Health Technical Memorandum.
Main duties of the job
Carry out the maintenance of Autoclaves (sterilisers), Washer Disinfectors and Endoscope Washer Disinfectors in accordance with HTM
Carry out additional maintenance of Autoclaves (Sterilisers), Washer Disinfectors and Endoscope Washer Disinfectors as requested by the user
Carry out revalidation tests on Autoclaves Sterilisers, and Washer Disinfectors and Endoscope Washer Disinfectors in accordance with HTM

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Significant post apprenticeship experience. Familiar with all forms of Engineering, particularly control equipment.
Experience
* Evidence of working within steriliser & decontamination services
Skills
* Familiarity with the relevant regulations and guidance and regulatory compliance
* Previous experience within a Health Service Experience of de-contamination equipment and BMS
