The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and maintaining the highest level of care and safety. You’ll provide leadership to the care team, mentor staff, and play a key role in developing and implementing care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager in managing the home’s operations, staff, and resources.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a skilled and compassionate care team.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
* Promote a positive, therapeutic environment that supports recovery and wellbeing.
* Undertake audits, risk assessments, and quality checks to maintain high standards.
* Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies.
* Act as Manager in their absence, taking responsibility for decision-making and service delivery.
Requirements
About You
This role requires someone with a strong background in mental health care and a genuine passion for making a difference.
Essential Criteria:
* RMN Nursing qualification.
* Experience in a supervisory or deputy management role within a mental health care setting.
* Sound understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Empathetic, resilient, and committed to person-centred care.
