Corporate and Commercial Team – Solicitor, 2 yrs PQE
The Wansbroughs Corporate & Commercial team advises a broad range of clients, including SMEs, large regional and international businesses and high net worth entrepreneurs.
This role will support an Associate Solicitor who undertakes corporate and commercial fee-earning work. The CoCom team has particular expertise in technology, media, energy and landed estates, as well as other sectors.
The team members currently represent a mixture of home‑grown talent and ex–City lawyers. A number of team members have in‑house experience.
We are looking for lawyers who will be a good fit with our ethos and values and who will enjoy working in an intellectually challenging, vibrant and ambitious department where both individuality and teamwork are highly valued.
We are flexible in our working practices, including some hybrid working. We envisage this role will be primarily office‑based to allow for effective supervision.
No follow is required or expected. We will support the successful candidate to grow their expertise, knowledge and practice with a view to accommodating their career ambitions.
Outside of fee‑earning work, the department also encourages a number of pro‑bono and community initiatives and actively supports its team members to be part of the wider conversation about developments in the law.
Experience and knowledge:
* 2+ years PQE in corporate and commercial matters at regional or City office level.
* An enthusiasm to contribute to the values and ethos of the firm and the community in which it works.
* Independence of thought and a desire to bring experience, knowledge and ideas to the wider team.
* Experience of drafting corporate and commercial documentation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Commerciality/business acumen.
