Role: Quality Controller

Job Description
The purpose of a Quality Controller (QC) is to ensure that products and services meet specific standards of quality and functionality ensuring that defined company processes and project quality documentation are delivered and adhered to throughout all business activities
We’re looking for an experienced Quality Controller to join a busy manufacturing environment, ensuring products are right first time and fully compliant with customer, project and industry standards.
Key responsibilities:

Carry out dimensional, visual and functional inspections on incoming goods, in‑process work and finished fabrications (including welds), using equipment such as CMM arms, micrometers and verniers.

Verify documentation and certification (mill certs, CoCs), maintain full traceability to orders/projects, and log QC data in systems such as MyCompliance/MRP.

Raise and manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs), support root‑cause investigations and contribute to continuous improvement and lessons‑learned activities.

Support and follow quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and routings, including occasional visits to suppliers to inspect components within the supply chain.

Work closely with production, paint/surface treatment teams and client inspectors to ensure products are defect‑free, correctly packed and despatched with the right documentation.
What we’re looking for:
* Certified licences to use the following: Site approved FLT’s, Overhead Cranes.
*
Apprentice‑trained or experienced in a similar fabrication/engineering environment, confident interpreting drawings, specs and work instructions.

Strong practical inspection skills with a good understanding of manufacturing tolerances, materials and industry standards.

Comfortable using common IT tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to communicate clearly at all levels.
