We are looking for a Senior Project Manager Defence - Mechanical in Cambridgeshire, Huntington and Suffolk who will be responsible for managing the tendering of suitable packages during the bid and the day-to-day operational management on large scale multi-disciplinary defence projects to include, design, procurement, installation, logistics, compliance, commissioning, and project handover. Ensuring on-time, compliant, commercial delivery aligned with Skanska values.
As the Senior Project Manager Defence - Mechanical, you will:
1. Manage and lead your discipline packages in the tendering process.
2. Be familiar with current design stages and protocols with a view to being able to effectively manage the process for your discipline. Have an understanding of Project specific BEP, DFMa strategy.
3. Ensures full compliance of design & engineering requirements of the specification and drawings to fulfil a compliant construction of the works.
4. Administer Skanska full set of project processes and controls to ensure full compliance as set out in our procedures.
5. Understand, develop, deliver and monitor the full suite of programmes associated with the project setting milestones and key deliverables to ensure a successful delivery.
6. Oversee, manage, implement, and communicate Risk mitigation and steps needed to pursue opportunities.
We are looking for:
7. Proven track record in successfully delivering large scale MEP contracts to time and within commercial constraints.
8. Formal technical & engineering qualifications from a recognised industry provider.
9. Formal H&S training accreditations, minimum SMSTS
10. Experience and knowledge in relation to the correct testing and commissioning of a complete MEPH installation.
11. Line management experience and people development.
12. Appropriate knowledge and experience to manage multiple disciplines/interfaces and work sequencing.
