Opportunity: Senior/Associate Director – Quantity Surveying | London or Bristol
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on high-profile commercial property projects across the UK?
We’re working with a leading multi-disciplinary real estate consultancy seeking to grow its Cost Consultancy offering with a high-performing and ambitious Senior or Associate Director-level QS.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2+ years post-chartership experience in private practice, ideally with a strong client-side background and a track record of delivering cost-effective outcomes on refurbishment and new build schemes.
The Role:
You’ll take on a leadership role within a dynamic and collaborative cost consultancy team, working on commercial projects from feasibility through to final account. As a trusted advisor to developers, investors, landlords, and occupiers, your focus will be on providing high-quality cost consultancy and employer’s agent services across a variety of sectors.
This position also offers the opportunity to contribute to team development, build new client relationships, and play a key role in business growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver full cost consultancy services across a wider range of commercial construction projects
* Act as Employer’s Agent on design & build schemes (preferred but not essential)
* Prepare cost estimates, cash flows, tender documents, and manage procurement and contract administration processes
* Oversee post-contract services including valuations, change management, and final accounts
* Engage closely with internal teams and stakeholders (e.g., Building Consultancy, Property Management, Investment & Agency)
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships and pursue new business opportunities
* Support management in team leadership and achieving financial targets
What You’ll Need:
* MRICS or equivalent professional qualification
* Minimum 2+ years PQE working in a client-facing consultancy role
* Solid experience with both pre- and post-contract cost management
* Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts and their practical administration
* Strong communication and commercial awareness skills
* Competence with measurement software, BCIS, and platforms such as JCT/NBS
* A self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects and contribute to wider team success
* Full UK driving license
