Office: Central London - c.4 days a week to start with (flexible, but people-focused culture).
Package: £100,000-£120,000 + performance-related bonus + excellent benefits (private medical, gym, free daily lunch prepared by in-house chefs, subsidised breakfast + strong pension).
I'm supporting a well-established, profitable, global professional services firm (2,200 employees worldwide) who are looking to appoint their first dedicated Head of Procurement. This newly created role is pivotal in shaping and leading the procurement function across the business.
About the role:
The business has recognised the need to bring procurement expertise into the centre of their operations. Reporting into Finance, this is a career-defining opportunity to build and own the procurement function from the ground up - spanning indirect spend (HR, Marketing, Legal, Technology, Professional Services) with scope to influence across wider business units globally.
Role Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of a global procurement strategy, with a focus on indirect spend.
* Partner with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, advising and challenging where needed.
* Deliver cost efficiencies while ensuring quality and compliance.
* Build and manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts.
* Shape procurement processes and extend existing platforms (e.g. ServiceNow) globally.
* Lay the foundations for a future team, with the opportunity to scale.
* Roll sleeves up: balance strategy with hands-on delivery.
What we're looking for:
* Significant procurement leadership experience in professional services or similar industries (not retail or charity).
* Track record covering indirect spend; exposure to direct procurement a plus.
* A confident stakeholder manager who can influence at all levels.
* Someone commercially sharp, collaborative, and pragmatic - no ego, just impact.
* Comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment where not everything is formalised.
