Overview
SOCOTEC’s Infrastructure team delivers technical services that ensure the safety, quality and compliance of major construction and civil engineering projects across the UK. The Assistant Geologist / Engineering Geologist supports ground investigation, testing and monitoring activities, providing independent verification of materials, foundations and structural performance.
Responsibilities
* Log soil and rock data in accordance with BS5930:2015.
* Perform in-situ testing and sampling to current technical standards.
* Assist with planning and supervision of ground investigation projects.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to analyse and interpret field data.
* Support the preparation of technical reports and briefings for clients.
Qualifications
* Degree-level qualification in a geotechnical discipline.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Knowledge of ground investigation techniques and BS5930:2015.
* Strong communication skills at all levels.
* Proactive, reliable and flexible, able to work independently or as part of a team.
