Are you a reliable, committed, dynamic, and motivated professional with excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work?
Blandford Community Mental Health Team seeks a Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner or a Band 5 looking to gain training, experience, and support to progress into a Band 6 post upon completion.
This role offers a great opportunity for newly qualified practitioners or those transitioning from inpatient settings seeking a change.
As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will provide care that considers people's safety, privacy, and dignity. Your responsibilities include delivering interventions, assessments, and treatments, managing a caseload, and planning, implementing, and reviewing health improvement programmes across various settings.
You will work within a supportive, established, multidisciplinary team comprising a Psychiatrist, Nurse Prescriber, Mental Health Practitioners, Social Workers, OTs, Support Time Recovery Workers, and Psychologists.
This full-time role (Monday to Friday) is based in Blandford and covers surrounding villages. A valid driving license and access to a car are required, as you will assess and monitor patients in their homes and community settings.
You will receive support in your clinical work and professional development from an experienced Mental Health Nurse, with ongoing supervision from the Team Leader and a structured training and development programme.
Experience working in a community mental health environment is beneficial but not essential. You should be able to apply engagement and recovery philosophies in your work with service users.
