A leading manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Team Leader to join their engineering department at their site based in YO15 1DY.
Role Overview
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers while ensuring the efficient maintenance and reliability of production equipment across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on electrical engineer with leadership experience who is looking to step into a key role within a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and supporting the engineering team on shift
* Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
* Fault‑finding on automated production machinery
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
* Supporting production to minimise downtime
Requirements
* Electrical engineering qualification
* Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
* Experience leading or supervising engineers
* Knowledge of PLCs and automated machinery advantageous
* Ability to work effectively within a double days shift pattern
