Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Fundraising and Administrative Assistant. The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting fundraising activities, managing donor databases, and coordinating events. Other tasks include preparing fundraising pitch decks, assisting in developing fundraising strategies, and performing general administrative duties such as scheduling, email management, and document preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
• Maintain and update the charity’s CRM (Salesforce), ensuring accurate donor records, supporter details and activity logs.
• Provide administrative support for the Board of Trustees, including minute-taking, scheduling meetings, and preparing papers.
• Assist in organising other internal meetings, for example working groups and committees of the Board, and planning sessions, ensuring smooth logistics and follow-ups.
• Keep financial records up to date in Xero (cloud-based accounting software), in collaboration with our accountant.
• Manage day-to-day donor communications, acknowledging gifts and responding to inquiries from supporters and preparing donor pitch decks (PowerPoint).
• Ensure that key donors and other stakeholders receive information on all relevant charity activity across Advocacy and Law and Education and History workstreams.
• Administer Gift Aid claims and ensure records are accurate and compliant with HMRC requirements.
• Support the planning and delivery of fundraising trips to the Middle East, including scheduling meetings, tracking follow-up actions, and liaising with local partners.
• Assist in the coordination of the Middle East Fundraising Committee and donor networks.
• Track UK-based individual donors and assist with donor stewardship plans.
Communications and Events
• Draft and send regular email communications to supporters using Mailchimp or similar tools.
• Support the organisation and promotion of public events, webinars, and fundraising campaigns.
• Maintain the charity’s contact databases and promotional materials.
• Assist with social media scheduling and basic content creation.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
• A commitment to the values and mission of the Britain Palestine Project.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a small team environment.
• Some experience with CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) or accounting software (e.g. Xero) or openness to complete training.
• Previous voluntary or paid experience in an administrative, fundraising, or charity role.
• Familiarity with Mailchimp, Canva, or similar tools for communications.
• Interest in or knowledge of the Israel-Palestine context and related humanitarian or political issues.
• Experience working with or supporting trustees, donors, or senior stakeholders.

Contract: Permanent (subject to probation period)
