Hays are currently working with a local authority around the Birmingham area to recruit a customer service advisor to join the council tax and revenues team.
Your new role
As a customer service advisor, you will be handling any queriesing in from the public regarding their council tax, and annual statements. This job is based in a contact centre therefore you will be required to take inbound calls and support the citizens with their queries. The volume of calls varies on a day-to-day basis, and on some days you will be taking more calls than on other days. As a customer service advisor, you will be ensuring the systems have been updated to reflect the citizen's council tax and benefits account.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this job, you will need to have a minimum of 12 months experience working in a council tax environment for a local authority. As a customer service advisor, you will need to be patient and be able to empathise with the citizens. Due to the nature of the job and the high volume of inbound calls, you should befortablemunicating with people over the phone for long periods of time.

This is a full-time, temporary job based in Solihull. This is a rolling contract with the rate of £ (PAYE), paid on a weekly basis.
